What do you mean, "Myque Makes it Happen?"As you might have noticed, Myque seems to do a bit more than just perform. He teaches, directs and produces almost as much as he's on stage. His training at Dell'Arte International prepared him for this path. His Masters Thesis was applying Dell'Arte's method to directing a play creating "The Most Remarkable Man of the Age", an adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Man that was Used Up" and "Conqueror Worm". His collaborators in this project were members of Never Neither Theatre, a team of Dell'Arte Alums. Over the past two summers, Myque has produced a Iowa-based performance festival, The Wapsipinicon Theatre Festival, which strives to bring distant artists into Iowa for a cross cultural exchange during a week-long residency. This festival, while still small, has been a tremendous success with performances at the University of Northern Iowa, local elementary schools, and in the parks of Independence, Iowa. Myque also loves to teach. He's taught workshops in Warm-up techniques, and movement theory to students at the University of Northern Iowa and given acting lessons to local high school students.
